National Affiliation:
Our club is affiliated with Stoa, a national Christian Homeschool Speech & Debate league. Stoa is a membership driven organization dedicated to training youth in order to communicate a Biblical worldview. Membership helps support their mission, “Speaking Boldly. Changing the world for Christ” and allows families to vote on issues of resolutions and events. Membership is required for students who plan on competing this season. You can learn more about Stoa and join by visiting their website: http://stoahub.org
Please note: Cost for family registration is $135 but goes up to $160 on October 1st so please join early! Families with all young children (11 and under) will register for a Junior membership. The cost for a Junior membership is $35.
NITOC:
Stoa uses the results from tournaments to determine invitation to the National Invitational Tournament of Champions (NITOC) which is held in May of each year. A student must have at least two green check marks in an event in order to qualify for NITOC. Stoa then sends an email to qualified students at the end of the season inviting them to attend NITOC. More details about NITOC can be found on the Stoa website.
NITOC 2027 will be held Sunday, May 23-Saturday, May 29 at Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. Let's get those green checks and take as many as we can this season!
