Tournament Judging:
Please Note: Parents are required to judge rounds at Stoa speech and debate tournaments!
Tournaments cannot happen without parents. It takes Parents, Coaches, Alumni, and Community Volunteers to have enough judges at every tournament. Sample Ballots can be found on the Stoa website. Team Policy and Parliamentary Debate students are judged as a team of two (whether they won or lost the round) and as individuals (depending on their speaking ability). Lincoln-Douglas and Speech competitors are judged individually (except Duo where the pair of students are judged together). After a tournament, the results are uploaded to StoaHub for everyone to view.
